Augie Doggie is an anthropomorphic dog and the son of Doggie Daddy.

Personality

He is a highly spirited pup who is motivated by ambition and the desire to make his father proud. He possessing some knowledge in science and the ability to converse with animals, Augie would often capitalize upon his father's foibles. Augie, who loved his father, would often refer to him as "dear old Dad." Augie also has a talent for finding animals who are looking for a home.

He also cares for animals (such as Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle) and sometimes even bringing them home much to his fathers despise, and Augie most of the time gets to keep the animal at the end.

Often, Augie would try to impress his father or bring home animals in any side, shape or form much to his fathers despite. Augie would sometimes shame his father for the actions he does; Augie gets ashamed that his father won't let him be a Watchdog just like him because Doggie Daddy wants him to go to college instead. Despite this however, he eventually lets him be a Watchdog for one night. Doggie Daddy dresses as a burglar to scare Augie out of being a watchdog but Augie isn't afraid of him and attempts to shoot at him (not realizing it's actually his father in disguise) while at the same time Augie attempts to shoot a real burglar who tries gets into the duos' home and rob them.

Physical appearance

Augie is a young small orange-furried pup wearing a green turtleneck shirt. He has three hairs on his head. He also has a black nose, a peach snout and a pair of white eyes.

• Augie was originally voiced by Daws Butler, except in Yo, Yogi!, where he was voiced by Patric Zimmerman, as Butler had died by the time of production.
• It was revealed in Laff-a-Lympics that Augie can't swim.
• It was mentioned by Doggie Daddy in the episode Bud Brothers that Augie was a second grader.
  • It could likely be implied that he's five years old before the events of the episodes: "Fox Hound Hounded Fox" and "Fan Clubbed" and after the events of the episodes he's seven years old.
